Dmail Upgrades Email Account System, Supports Automatic Creation of Wallet Address-Based Accounts

We are delighted to announce a significant upgrade to Dmail's email account system. The platform is introducing a wallet address-based account system, empowering users with an easy way to establish free email accounts and participate in secure, private, and efficient cross-chain encrypted communication.

Supported Networks

As of now, Dmail is compatible with a multitude of networks including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Solana, Sei Network, Dfinity, Manta Network, Conflux, and KuCoin Community Chain. With any wallet address from these networks, users can effortlessly set up a free email account upon login.

Features and Benefits of Wallet Address-Based Email Accounts

When contrasted with the preceding 4-11 character NFT email accounts, the new wallet address-based email accounts offer several distinguishing features:

  • Free of cost and automatically created upon login
  • Varied base levels
  • A 0.5x weight coefficient for completing specific tasks
  • The inability to transfer or trade email accounts
  • Non-transferrable acquired points

For instance, when users employ MetaMask to log into Dmail using their wallet address, they are automatically assigned an email account in the format of [email protected]. This address becomes their default email for sending and receiving messages. However, for a personalized touch, users can still acquire a 4-11 character NFT email account through the Presale (https://mail.dmail.ai/presale), or bind their DID for utilizing Web3 secure encrypted email communication.

Why Now?

The decision to upgrade Dmail's account system is a response to the platform's rapid user growth and the continuous evolution of the product. Launched in 2021, Dmail has hosted three paid Presales and launched the DaaS service in March of the current year, providing free-mint qualifications for 8-11 character email accounts under specific conditions. With 210K unique addresses holding 335K email accounts and a total of 6.3M messages sent and received, Dmail's growth is phenomenal.

While the entry barrier was initially raised through paid and conditional methods, enabling some users to experience and provide feedback, the team worked tirelessly to optimize and iterate. Even so, Dmail garnered the support of 335K Dmailers and continues to offer exciting rewards to early adopters.

Looking Forward

After more than two years of development, research, and iteration, Dmail is prepared for large-scale application and is ready to offer privacy communication services to an expanded audience of businesses and users. The focus now is on transitioning from paid to free value-added services, thus lowering the threshold for users to enjoy Dmail-related services.

Additionally, this revamp of the email account system is a strategic move in anticipation of Dmail's forthcoming features: Message Service and Notify Service. These features will enhance cross-chain communication, provide multi-chain notifications, and offer a seamless message delivery experience for public chains, wallets, dApps, and a broad user base, all while safeguarding user privacy.
